I think it's classic and timeless. I know loads of Daniels, ages ranging from 3 to 29.

My stepdad's name is Daniel so that's who I associate it with. I do feel it's a bit dated, as he is in his mid-50's. But then again it's also a classic name. I don't know. I personally wouldn't use it. It's just not my style I suppose.

I recently fell in love with it! I think it's very quiet and unassuming, but has a handsome strength without being overbearing. Definitely qualifies as a classic in my book. It's strange, though, because I dislike my own name, which is Danielle, and yet I adore Daniel. I would never use it because of the similarity to my own name, however. But that's just me.Also, I like Dan as a nickname, but not Danny, possibly because my entire family calls me Dani for short.

It's a classic, timeless Biblical name to me. I don't find it boring or dated, I find it stable and dependable and there's nothing wrong with that. A handsome name that will suit a baby, a child and an adult.

It was my grandfather's name, it is my dad's name, and it is my brother's name. It is timeless and I love it.

I don't find it too dated at all. It's a classic. I'm not too keen on Dan and Danny as nicknames, but I like Daniel itself. It's nicer without a nickname.

Dated? Never, Daniel is timeless. Very handsome, though I know to many to ever use it personally.

I love it, but as a middle name. I don't like Danny so much....

I think it's very handsome. I would add it to my list, but it's too similar to Samuel, one of my favs. :)

I like it. Any Biblical name seems strong and masculine to me. They never seem to go out of style. I have had several friends use it in the middle name spot lately, but have it seen it as a first name in awhile. I'd definitely use it.

Daniel is badass. Good, solid, biblical name. Of course, I like classic, Christian names a lot, so I'm biased as heck.

Definitely not dated. I'm not sure when it would even be dated to! I don't really like it though.

Dated? Not at all! Daniel is a timeless classic. It's one of my favorites for a boy...although a big part of that is due to an association.

I've always liked it, just hadn't given it consideration until now. :)
