A lot of people associate Loki / Loke with evilness here, and that's one of the reasons I wouldn't use it. Perhaps the association isn't as strong in other countries though.
That said, I think Loki is a little more interesting than Loke.
Loke is the most common one here in Sweden. There is a total of 7 boys with the name Loki, and 5 of them has Loki as their FN.
There is a total of 1815 boys names Loke, 1279 of them has it as their FN. And Loke has been in the Swedish top 100 since 2004, so obviously not everyone associate it with evilness. But I still prefer Loki / Loke on a dog, instead of a child. :P
