[Opinions] WDYT of Hollis (m)?
I've been thinking a lot about Hollis today. It's certainly gender-ambiguous, but I can only imagine it on a boy. I have a history of liking wood/plant/forest masculine names that aren't Hippie-ish, and Hollis certainly fits that category. I've always liked Holly for a girl, but never quite enough to put it on my PNL. Hollis, however, really appeals to me. Any opinions on these combos are welcome.Adrian Hollis
Alexander Hollis
Hollis Blaise
Hollis Casimir
Cedric Hollis (sounds good, but Cedric reminds me of cedar, which is odd next to Hollis, aka holly)
Hollis Constantine
Eamonn Hollis
Evren Hollis
Hollis Ferdinand (somewhat ridiculous, but it flows well, IMO)
Hollis Matthieu / Matthieu Hollis
Hollis Patrick / Patrick Hollis
Theodore Hollis
Hollis Valentin
Hollis Wilhelm

I like it for a boy only!

I really like it. I also really like Ellis for a boy (it is sort of a similar name IMO).Out of your combos I like Hollis Ferdinand the best. It just sounds really good together.

I really like Hollis. It's on my long list. I've had a lot of negative feedback, but it hasn't swayed me. My favorite combo is Hollis Horatio, but then, I do love alliteration. Of your combos I really like/love Hollis Constantine, Hollis Patrick, and Hollis Valentin.
Edited for typo.

My "stock" Hollis combo is Hollis Clement.Hollis Eugene and Hollis Albert also come to mind.I like Adrian Hollis, Evren Hollis, and Patrick Hollis, but I'm not really feeling any of the combos you've made with Hollis as the first name. The middle names don't seem "bright" enough for Hollis, to me. Maybe Hollis Constant instead of Constantine.

Hollis Clement is wonderful. Hollis Eugene too. Hollis Albert reminds me too much of The Albert Hall. :-/

Me too. I only like Hollis on a boy. In fact I love it.It has a very Southern-gentleman-charm for me. I picture a male Hollis wearing a searsucker suit and holding a mint julep -- at the Kentucky Derby. He has such a beautiful smile. Loving:Adrian Hollis
Cedric Hollis
Hollis Constantine
Eamonn Hollis (my prefered spelling of Eamonn too -- bonus)
Hollis Ferdinand
Patrick Hollis
Theodore Hollis -- the most genteel sounding here -- I can't see anything beating thisI've got Elijah Hollis as a stock combo. But now I prefer Theodore Hollis. :-P
