I adore this name. I remember it used to be one of my favorite names, and I still like it a lot.

Never liked it. Not sure why. Just sounds like an angry uptight old lady.

Love it! This is on my short list. I think I'll bring it up again when we start trying for baby #2.

I like it. It's so dusty and unmoving, and it conjures up images of fierce Roman matrons standing on blindingly white marble in glittering finery. It has a dark, unsmiling, heavy, golden energy, and I like that.

I like it enough, but I prefer August (more as a mn for a girl though).

Oh, I adore Augusta! It's stateliness personified.

I LOVE Augusta- one of my absolute favourites!

I find it beautiful and strong. It's also not too popular, which is another reason to use it. I think it's definitely underused.

I could see it growing on me, I have hard time picturing it on a child though.

It's pretty and quite 'grand'. I absolutely adore August for a boy, Augusta may just grow on me.

I like Augusta a lot; just the other day I found a distant relative was named Augusta. It's really friendly and warm to me; I don't worry too much about it being an "old lady" name because if I met a young Augusta, that's how I would picture the name- young, not old.

I love It! I also love Augustina and August for a boy.

Love it! I've really been drawn to names that have an old fashioned or Germanic feel lately. Augusta has both (in my opinion, anyway). I think the nn Gussie is cute too. : )
