Just as Rupert and Sophie were starting to enjoy their life together, a tragedy happened. Sophie's sister, Chloe, got into a car accident. Also in the car was her infant son. Unfortunately, Chloe didn't survive. However, Mason (the infant son) only had a few scrapes and minor bruising. Since Chloe hadn't told anybody who the father was, and there was no one stepping up to claim the position, Rupert and Sophie decided that they had to adopt the little guy. Since he was so young, they decided to move Sparrow into a second MN position and to give him their last name. Little Mason had the same curly, honey colored hair as Sophie and gray eyes. Often, people would mistake him for their own, which suited Rupert and Sophie just fine.
FAMILY EVENT:
11. Move
Just as their life was getting settled and they were becoming used to this family thing, things became unsettled again. For the next year, Rupert, Sophie and little Mason moved every few weeks as Rupert had to scramble to keep the company above water as they were expanding. When Christmas came around, and there was still no end in sight, Sophie finally said enough was enough. She and little Mason moved back to England to be near her family and his. Rupert kept traveling, but visited every weekend he could.

8. Life Long Dream
Rupert finally managed to get the company settled and through the expansion. It's doing better then ever now. At the same time, Rupert managed to funnel much of his workload into other areas, and now has much more free time. This has been a dream of Rupert's since he started in the company as his father's assistant.

To celebrate the fact that Rupert had less to do, the family got a pet tortoise. Mason immediately started to call her Shelly, because of her shell. Rupert felt that it was as good as name as any, but Sophie didn't like it. In the end, Rupert and Mason had their way, and the tortoise remained Shelly.

Mason was thrilled to welcome his baby sister into the world. He loved that her MN was his "Angel-Mom's" name and that she had the same second MN has him. Sophie decided that she liked the idea of having her maiden name carried on, and used it the same as they did for Mason. Truthfully, Mason was never a name that either of them were thrilled with. However, it was his name and they kept it for that reason. When they had their own daughter, they didn't want a name that would clash with their son's name... but they didn't really want to have a little Hailey, Katelyn, Madison or Brianna either. Some of their favorites (Penelope, Isobel, Clementine and Agatha) were booted from consideration for that reason. In the end, the name was already right there in front of them. Rupert's mom was Lillian, and it was just perfect. Best yet, they could use the nickname of Lily, which they both adored but didn't flow well with Chloe. Lily ended up looking almost exactly like Chloe did, which shocked Sophie and her mom quite a bit. However, her personality is very much a split between Sophie and Rupert, which is completely different from Mason's Angel-Mom.

Rupert, Sophie, Mason and Lily traveled to Ireland and around England, visiting all of the touristy sites. They took their time, and spent weeks at each location. As a result, they got to see many of the sites that only residents go to. Everybody had a blast.
JOB:
12. Business trip
Rupert had to travel once again for business. This time Sophie and the kids stayed home. Mason had started school, and Lily was in preschool and dance. Rupert was able to wrap up the business rather quickly (especially as he didn't have to try and travel around any schedule but his own), and was back home at the end of 7 weeks.

While on vacation, Mason kept remembering a part of Ireland that was rather poor and run down. It was a part of Ireland that had been affected by the civil war years earlier, and had prospered since. One day Sophie found Mason in his room crying. When she asked what was wrong, he told her that he met a boy while they were in Ireland who didn't have any mother or father or any family at all. Sophie figured that he was talking about one of the orphans they met while at a park. Mason wanted them to go back and give this one particular boy a home. He was so instant that this one boy needed to be a part of their family, and that he wanted to be his brother, that they finally gave in and traveled back to Ireland. Much to Sophie's and Rupert's surprise, this boy was still in the same orphanage almost a year later. Mason and Oisin struck up a conversation like they had never been apart. Rupert was the first to decide that this was meant to be, and Sophie was only a heartbeat behind him. It was a long and complicated process, but eventually Oisin went home with them to be a permanent part of their family. Like the other two children, Oisin took his former surname and turned it into a second MN.
CELEBRATION
2. Anniversary
Rupert and Sophie celebrate their 20th year together (and their 15th wedding anniversary). The path they took was never one they imagined, but they are thrilled with their life. Rupert is thinking about retiring in another 10 or 15 years. Sophie is thinking of starting her own school. Mason, Lily and Oisin are all in school, and are all doing well. Oisin's life with his new family started out a bit rocky, but Mason was right there for him. Mason told him all about his Angel-Mom, and how his dad and mom were the only parent's he ever knew. Oisin had vague memories of his mother, and he soon shared these with Mason. Somehow, the sharing of pasts helped Oisin live in the present. Rupert and Sophie never knew what happened, just that Oisin was having difficulties and then one day they just quit. Lily is a little beauty, who wants to dance and sing. In fact, the only want to get her to study anything else is to threaten to not allow her to go to dance class or singing lessons. While she still resembles Chloe, she also looks and acts very much like Lily.
