[Opinions] Arianwen & Octavia
I'm falling head over heels for these names. Which spelling do you prefer, Arianwen or Arianwyn. And what do you think of Faye for a middle name? Other middle name suggestions are welcome. As for Octavia I really have no idea what middle name I'd use. Rose to soften it? Evelyn to honour my grandma?Anyways these names have replaced Beatrix and Vivian for the time being as number 2 and 3 on my favourites list! Honest opinions won't hurt my feelers :)

I like Arianwen in theory but in practice it's a bit too long for my taste and has a bit of an awkward pronunciation. Even so I'd still be happy to meet one :) Octavia is great! :)I think Octavia Faye and Arianwen Rose actually fit better. Arianwen and Faye just don't really match to me

I LOVE Arianwen! I'd totally use it as a mn. For a fn, I like the sound of Arianwen Faye but I'd prefer Arianwen Fae or Arianwen Fey (they look more airy and fairy-like). I also like Arianwen Opal, Arianwen Luna, Arianwen Hestia, Arianwen Violet, Arianwen Isis, Arianwen Christabel, Arianwen Ivy, Arianwen Ivory, Arianwen Undine, Arianwen Viola, Arianwen Lyra, Arianwen Bryony, Arianwen Gwyneth, Arianwen Gwyneira, Arianwen Sage, and Arianwen Briseis.
Octavia Rose is stunning. Evelyn seems too dated for regal Octavia IMO, but I might like Octavia Eve.
Anyway, I think Arianwen and Octavia are awesome. :)

Don't spell it Arianwyn, because -wyn is a masculine name ending in Welsh.I think Arianwen is somewhat long and complicated, but it's a nice enough name. I prefer the shorter Anwen. Arianwen Faye is nice.Octavia isn't really my style, but I like Octavia Evelyn.

Octavia Evelyn......is absolutely lovely. Arianwen Fay is nice too (I tend to prefer Fay without the 'e').Oh, how about Arianwen Violet? Just throwing that out there...

agreedOctavia Evelyn knocks my socks off.

I'd go with Arianwen; doesn't -wyn denote masculinity in Welsh?
I think Faye is a great middle name, but I'm not sure I like it with Arianwen. Arianwen Fiona would sound better to me.Octavia Rose is sweet, Octavia Evelyn is nice for I feel like it's maybe a bit long. What about Octavia Ellen (similar in sound and letters to Evelyn), Octavia Linna, Octavia Blythe?

Yah, actually now that I think about it I believe wyn was traditionally masculine is Welsh. Since I remember reading that the spelling of my cousin Bronwyn's name was the traditional male spelling of the name! I definitely think I prefer the look of Arianwen anyways. :)

I like Arianwen, it's really pretty and feminine but not too frilly. I definitely prefer this spelling over the Y spelling, which looks like an attempt to make it more feminine. Faye goes well as a middle name.I don't like Octavia; I just find it too pretentious and complex. Octavia Rose sounds OK.

Yah and I just realized that if I used the y spelling with Faye it would look like Arianwyn Faye.. that's too many y's for me!

Arianwen looks gorgeous but is a mess to say. At least for me. It feels overcomplicated and silly. Maybe I'm saying it wrong?I love Octavia, though. No idea as for middle names. I have a lot of trouble finding combos I like, but everyone else seems to do it so easily!

I totally agree about Arianwen. I think the idea of it is better than the reality. I'm pronouncing it with four syllables. Is that correct? The first part is pretty close to Aryan, which makes me think of Nazis, which isn't cool at all.
I don't like Faye as a mn with it. But I don't like the name Faye with any name, so don't worry about me. You'd definitely need something super simple and short with a first name like that!
Octavia is okay, nms, but okay. I think Octavia Evelyn sounds really pretty. The v's in each name give it a nice continuity.

Haha I never thought of the Aryan thing. If you're saying it with 4 syllables that's correct. And I completely get what your saying, it's kind of a big name, which might be too much of a mouthful. But I love it right now haha.

I like both spellings, but I think Arianwyn looks more Welsh, which I love. I think it's a pretty name. Faye would be great as a mn, although I'm not a hue fan of itOctavia is beautiful! Both Rose & Evelyn are gorgeous too - but Octavia Evelyn seems to have more significance, so I would opt for that:)
