WDYT? What comes to your mind when you think of Salma? Does this name give you the same impression as Selma?

I LOVE Selma, but dislike Salma.... The "Sal" parts turns me off of it. I find Selma much softer but sort of dark and oozy too

It looks like a spelling error for either Salima or Selma.

No Selma makes me think of Patty and Selma from the Simpsons.Salma makes me think of Salmon and Samonella(sp?).Oh Salmon, the fish not the color.

Salma gives me a very different feeling than Selma.Salma is calmer and reminds me of the color salmon pink. She would teach yoga and love gardening. Selma is quirky and more energetic. Selma relates back to Anselm / Anselma, which brings to mind medieval fun. She loves to shop in second hand stores.

I love the meaning of the name. It looks a bit too much like salmon to me.
