To start off, here are some of mine (I agree some don't need nicknames but I'm just curious.):
Iphigeneia / Iphigenia
Andromache
Enobaria
Nimue
Sarangerel
Ismene
Micaiah
Naamah
Mehitabel
Ophélie
Arcadie
Zénobie
Any and all ideas welcome. Just curious to see what comes up!

Teddy for Thaddeus is adorable!!
Doll / Dolly
Doll / Dolly is a super cute nn. This. Must. Happen.
If Polly is a nn for Mary (Mary --> Molly --> Polly) I don't see why Dolly couldn't fit into that scenario. And getting really creative, you could use Madison as the formal name and Dolly (Dolley) as the nn after the famous American first lady. Or Barbara, after the Barbie doll?
But going the more conventional (although still fast and loose) route, how about Doll / Dolly as a nn for:
Adolpha / Adolphine (I haven't a clue if that's a real name. I'm taking it from Adolphus)
Pandora
Idony
Leopoldine
Isadora / Isidora
Bartolomea (Continental "t's" can sound like "d's")
Domenica / Dominique
Desideria ("dez-i-DEHR-ee-uh")
Soledad
Caridad
Trinidad
Eudoxia -- I've always been weary of Doxie as a nn since it's an old slang term for a prostitute. But I've never thought about using Dolly before and I'm really digging it. Thanks!
Eudora
Alondra
Demelza Holly --> Dolly
Deirdre Molly --> Dolly
Isolde
Kendall (I will sacrifice my usual Kendall as a boy's name preference in search of *the* formal name for Doll / Dolly)

Thanks, you have some great choices I never would have thought of! I absolutely adore Dolly, I'd love to make it happen!
I think Fé would work for Ophélie, and Zoé for Zénobie.
I'd like Mena for Ismene, too.

Clemency- Cleo, Clea
Leontine- Tina, Leo, Lea
Ardal- Ardie
Leontine- Tina, Leo, Lea
Ardal- Ardie
These are pretty far afield, but I'm erring on the side of inclusion rather than exclusion:
Saoirse -- Freedom / Edie, Siri
Clemency -- Freedom (you do have a thing for setting things free), Clemmie, Cleo, Lemon (just kidding)
Leontine -- Leonie, Lea ("LAY-uh"), Cat
Morven -- Mor (no kidding, I love the name Mor for a girl, just Mor)
Tamar -- Tammy, Mara, Mari
Roisin -- Rosie, Ro (my SIL is nn'd Ro, from Rosemary)
Lachlan -- Lake
Morgan -- ?? You can't call him morgue for short. I'm stumped on this one.
Ardal -- Arlo, Ardie
Aloysius -- Al, Alo, Lou, Louie

Nimue - Nim
Sarangerel - wow that's a name for ya. Sara? Elle?

Mehitabel - Bell
Ophélie - Ophie, Phé (like Fay)
Arcadie - Cadie
Zénobie - Zenny
Hmmm, I sometimes wonder about:
Tharcille (tar-SILL)
Celandine
Seraphine (not Sera or Sara)
Heloise (would Hello said "HELL-o" [like Jell-o] be too dumb)
Idony
Ambrose
Apollinaire

Tharcille -- Tar Heel (just kidding), Tillie
Celandine -- Deenie
Seraphine -- Fifi, Saphine, Saphie, Angel
Heloise -- Ouisie / Weezie (I know you love Ouida and its sooooo close)
Idony -- Id (Let the Freudian games commence)
Ambrose -- Ambie
Apolinaire -- When I google I only get it as a surname. Is this for a girl or a boy? I've got Apolinaria / Apolinariya on my long list and can see Apple, Pear, Polly, Polaire, Plein Aire (GP), Pola for her. They work just as well, if not better, for Apolinaire. [If it's for a boy, you could use Guy as a nod to Guillaume A.] -- Ah, I see it's masculine and Apollinaire. So: Apollo, Paul, Pollux?
Nolwenn -- Nola, Nollie
Modesty -- Mo, Modo, Mojo (if irony is your thing), Dessa, Messy (just kidding)
