Sounds weird, hmm. Modern Greek is much different nowadays than ancient Greek anyways, so maybe both pronunciations are correct, but I'd probably get funny looks in Greece nowadays haha. Sounds like it would be a Spanish pronunciation but I guess not.

I've heard this pronunciation too, with the g sounding more like an y. And Ismene in modern Greek is usually transliterated Ismini, which I think I prefer.
In English I'd say if-ee-gen-eye-a and is-mee-nee.
