Valeria, known as Valli throughout her childhood, was permitted a fairly normal existence prior to her coronation. She studied international relations at the university named for her great great grandfather -- King Rudolph Joseph. It was at this university where Valli met Nick. knowing that she was the Crown Princess, Nick -- however attracted to her -- decided not to pursue her. But when they were paired together for an assignment on the economic development of a selected country their sophomore year, they started dating. Nick visited the king just before his death the year Valli graduated university to ask for his permission to marry her. His blessing was given and the couple strove for a quick marriage, fearing that King Erich would not live much longer. As her father was ruler of Orantillo, Valli knew that his death would mean her own coronation. Twelve days after her marriage, Valli was crowned Queen. And two weeks later, her father passed away. Since then, Queen Valeria and King Nicholas have been successfully running their country, while discussing the possibility of having a child to be heir to the throne.
