I think Catherine is ugly, honestly--it reminds me of Wuthering Heights, the most evil thing any of the Bronte sisters ever did. (I like Charlotte's novels and Anne's poetry much better.) Moreover, the C looks passive and tired to me.
My favourite spelling is Katharine, like Ms. Hepburn, with the nickname Kitty. Kitty just doesn't get the love it deserves, and I think it's sweet and adorable. Plus, I used to watch X-Men: Evolution WAY too much.
