[Opinions] Hebe
What do you think of Hebe? Combo ideas? I found this name in a rather unusual way. I was reading the Harry Potter wiki and happened across the entry for Ariana Dumbledore and the actress that plays her in HP7.2 is named Hebe. I don't think it's short for anything, which is cool because I think Hebe is gorgeous in its shortness. It's Greek and pronounced HEE-bee. Can you get past the "heebee jeebies" thing? Thanks.

I'm neutral on Hebe. I don't dislike it, but I don't particularly like it either. I don't think of the "heebee jeebies"; I think of H.M.S. Pinafore.Hebe Marguerite

Oh, Hebe is one of my favourites. It's like a more-refreshing Phoebe. I don't even care about the "heebie jeebie" connection - in fact that only makes it more charming for me. I'd use Hebe in a second. It makes me think of peaches, a pale tangerine colour, and sunlight. It's very British-sounding for me, as well - I think of a very proper young lady in a delicate, blush-coloured Victorian dress, sitting in a garden and reading poetry.Comboing it is easy and fun for me. Some I've thought of areHebe Margaret
Hebe Eliza
Hebe Allegra
Hebe Frances
Hebe Lucinda
Hebe Lucille
Hebe Geraldine
Hebe Sylvia
Hebe Olivia
Hebe Cassandra
Hebe Annabeth
Hebe Dahlia
Hebe Edwina
Hebe Cecilia
Hebe Gwendolen
Hebe Amelia
Hebe Odette

Love your response. Love the description. You've made Hebe awesomer.Lucille and I have been clicking lately, so Hebe Lucille is the bee's knees. Hebe Eliza is a Victorian doll. Hebe Cecilia is golden.

Can you get past the "heebee jeebies" thing? No. I wouldn't be able to get past it. Very teasable. I don't care for the sound of it really.

I love the name Hebe. I can't decide how usable it is, though.

I love it too. I think anyone who's familiar with Greek mythology would be able to get past it. Everyone else would probably just think it was another creative name or something.

When I first saw the name, I thought it was short for something and felt it was incomplete to stand on its own. However once I started researching and found out the story behind it, I became more delighted with it. So cute! Funny how a backstory can quickly shift my opinion of a name. :)

Case of the Hebe JebesHeebee Jeebees is when you're creeped out / grossed out. I couldn't ever get past that.... :-(

I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I met a little girl called Heba once (he-buh) and kind of liked that. She was adorable. So i guess it isn't that different. I don't have an instant dislike to it anyway :)
