I like it.
1. The first thing I think of is the great singer Imogen Heap.

I think it's ugly and sounds a bit like collagen at the end and more like a facial care product than a person... It's kind of been gaining some degree of popularity in recent years to the point of being in the top 100 in a few countries... very trendy and nmsaa. Kinda pops up now and then on this board though.

I love Imogen! It's my number three name currently. It's beautiful. I pronounce it "IM-uh-jin." I do consider it relatively rare, because I'm in the US where it hasn't really caught on the way it has over in England.

Truthfully, though this is one of those cultured Shakespeare names you're supposed to like, I can't stand it. I think it's awful sounding.
I've only heard it once, when I worked at a Montessori school, and it was on a girl about 5-- daughter of hyper-educated Anglophile professorial types (like most of the kids in that school). In the USA it's pretty rare & eccentric at the moment, but I see it getting more popular, though probably never insanely so.

I like it. I don't really have any associations with it, barring Shakespeare, and I've only ever heard it pronounced IM-o-jn.
I'd say it was fairly rare. I came across a little one quite recently while out shopping, but I don't actually know any.

I love Imogen and, given enough daughters, I'd have used it gladly.

First thought: "Oooh, Imogen! I love it!"
Second thought: Shakespeare
I pronounce it IM-uh-jen. Just like "imaging" without the final 'g'. My deep, deep fear of the inevitable day when someone would pronounce it like Imogene keeps it off my list.
I consider it rare but not unheard of. Imogen Heap has given the name some exposure.
