I can see the appeal. "Normal" feeling in that it seems to fit the pattern of a lot of the more popular boys names right now. But different enough that there aren't 14 of them on your street, each with their own spelling. I don't mind the name myself - although it does keep making me think of the word "beholden" strangely. And no, I've never met anyone named Holden.
