[Opinions] Rebecca or Rebekah?
I'm writing a novel about an assassin, she was born and bred in a very Area 51-like environment. I don't know who named her, just that they named her Rebecca. The only thing is I don't know which spelling to use as Rebecca looks nicer on paper but Rebekah feels more like the character. Thoughts? TIA!

RebekahI just like the way Rebekah looks more than Rebecca. And Rebecca looks too soft to be the name of an assassin. Rebekah looks more . . . edgy, that's the only way I can put it.

I love Rebecca but it is too sweet, sunny & refined for the character. I agree that Rebekah feels more like the character.

RebekahI think it's harder-edged and a little darker than Rebecca. It sounds like it would suit your character best.

RebeccaFor me the double C is all the appeal of the name.

Rebecca out of these two, but I like Rebeka best.

RebekahFrom what you described, that seems to fit the character better.

If you're going the sci-fi route, I think Rebekah fits better with the setting. Or you could really fool around with the spelling and have it be Rebeccah or Rebeckah.
