I like Catherine a lot, but I could never get behind Cathy. I'm not too fond of the look or sound. I don't know if I'd consider it dated -- though all the Cathys I have known have been much older than I.

Catherine is the form of the name I like the best, with Kitty or Cat for a nickname (it's so snappy).
