[Opinions] Spencer

It's good that you like your name and I'd never tell someone not to, but people have different tastes. I don't care for boys' names on girls and most unisex names. It isn't fair to say my mind isn't open because I have a preference. I'm fine with people having the freedom to choose whatever name they want for their kids, and I'd never tell a parent or parent-to-be that their chosen name sucks. Nor would I say something like that to you. It's all about tact.
I prefer Spencer for a boy. :)
There is a difference between unisex and a boys name on a girl. Unisex means totally neutral and nobody assumes boy or girl and just using a name on a girl doesn't make it unisex. Spencer I've never thought of as a girl except on Pretty Little Liars but I find it weird. Spencer, I think of boy first. Kendall I think of boy first. Sydney, if I hear it I think unisex but if I see it written down spelled this way I think girl. Riley I see as completely unisex.
I think boy first with names like Tyler, Ryan, Logan, Reese, Cameron, Charlie, Dylan, Jaden, Carter, Phoenix, Hunter, Devin, Hayden, Harley, Parker, Justice.
I think girl first with names like Ariel, Addison, Madison, Skyler, Avery, Alexis, Reagan, Teagan, Angel, Shannon, Kim, Sage, Quinn.
Totally unisex with Bailey, Riley, Frances, Payton, Jordan, Taylor, Rowan, Rory (though normally for a girl I'd think it was a nickname).

I'll let you keep that opinion and I'll maintain mine- that Spencer makes a much more handsome boys' name.
I mean, since you have friends with unisex names means people are already open to it. I have a unisex name as well, but I still don't like most unisex names for girls. I mean, I love my name. It fits me perfectly. I have nothing against unisex names in general, I just find them more interesting on boys and prefer more frilly names on girls.
Oh god no.
I suppose we all get our own opinions.
And mine is "Why?".

do you have boy friends name Ashley, Morgan, Mackenzie, Kendall, Sydney, Riley?
because I think you just want more people to give their daughters boy names.
which a lot of people already do.
i don't like it. there are a few names i like on both genders, but I like none of these on girls.
