Joe is awful, but at least it's better than her sister's child's name, Marlowe-Tigger!

Sting, Sterre, and Storm - Ugh awful.Arthur and Matilda are quite old-fashioned for me and Jake doesn't seem to fit, Jacob would be better.Love Alana.Joe on a girl. Awful. Ben is nice but Benjamin or another full name would be better. Alice is nice.Rein Freek - Oh dear God, that poor child.

Sting?! The hell?I really, REALLY wish Joe had been Josephine or Joanna or something (anything, really).Rein Freek made me snicker. I'm sure it's lovely in Dutch but all I can see is Rain Freak or Reign Freak.

Sterre, Storm, and Sting...oh dear.I think Arthur, Leonard, and Matilda work together. Jake really stands out and doesn't fit in, and Martha is much too close to Matilda to be the middle name.I like Alana, but it's kind of boring.I wish it was spelled Jo, but it's nice that it honors family. I LOVE the sibset Ben and Alice.Freek? Eek! I like Rein, though.

Who names a girl Joe? Oh, brother.

It's only one letter away from Jo. It's not that bad.

Then why not use Jo?
Jo for girls, and Joe for boys. It makes it easier to know whether the person is a boy or girl. Why create unnecessary confusion? And a nickname is different story. You can spell that however you want because you have your formal name to fall back on.

Maybe Jo would be just as weird in France/Israel as Joe on a girl seems to English people.

I know it's honoring, but I'd prefer a person using Josephine and then calling her Jo/Joe. But to each his/her own.
