I've read that princess Lilian is very special to Victoria. Lilian never had children and Victoria did not have a paternal grandmother, so Lilian was like a stand-in grandmother to Victoria and her siblings. So, I'm still hoping they'll use Lilian as a middle name (I agree that it's not "royal enough" for a first name).
