[Opinions] Lynn
I'd love to see Lynn used as first name again. I think it's a great 'short-and-sweet' name that woud go well with a longer surname/middle name. WDYT? Could it work for a boy?

No, it can't.
I'm from the midwest where Lynn is somewhat common as a name for men in their 50s. My dad is Lynn and it's been a nightmare for him (and my mom.) People have assumed that my parents are a lesbian couple and I used to screen my dad's calls by whether they referred to him as a he or she. If it was a she it wasn't important.
So nope.

I really like it as a first name for both genders, but with that said, I wouldn't recommend using it for a boy because it's so well-known as a girls' name these days and could lead to some confusion. It could still work, though.

I've seen it use for both. NFL players Lynn Swann and Lynn Scott prove that it is usable for boys, but better keep that middle name as masculine as possible.
I only like it for a boy, and I too would love to start seeing it used again (for boys only)
I think it is fine as a first or middle name but I can not see it on a boy. The closest I could see would be Lyndon but even that is a little too soft.
I know of just as many male Lynns as female (of all different ages), so it definitely is fine as a boy's name in my book. I like it as either, but slightly prefer it for a boy although preferably as a nn.
I like it. I also like it as a middle name, though. Nowadays it would be almost refreshing next to all the girls who have Rose and Grace as their middle names.
I think it's sweet as a first name, but I don't like it on a boy. I'm reading Wuthering Heights and there's a guy named Linton so you might like that?
