In the Kingdom of: RossinestMasculine Namebank Addition: Édouard
Feminine Namebank Addition: AnnabelleAs the twins neared their first birthday, Emeline finally agreed that it was time to try for another child. She wasn't all that thrilled with the idea, the twins pregnancy and birth had been very hard on her and the whole idea of pregnancy and child birth now terrified her, but having the youngest children of the royal family being twins could be catistrophic when the time for the heir to be finalised came. Some would say it should be Prince Baptiste, others would say that should be Prince Aldéric... Techinically it should be Aldéric as he is the younger by seven minutes, but that would hardly satisfy anyone. So the easiest way to ensure that that debate never happened and the twins were never set against each other was to have another child.Emeline fell pregant easily, something that everyone was understandably relieved about as they were not sure what effect the twins difficult birth may have had on her. The pregnancy wasn't as difficult as the twins, but Emeline was an emotional wreck throughout as the time passed and the inevitably labour came closer. Nearing the end of her pregnancy Emeline withdrew from everyone, including her brothers, Jacques, and her sons. She just shut herself up in her chambers refusing to even share her husbands bed. The family was extremely worried, but could only hope that the birth would go smoothly and put her fears to rest. To make matters worse, Lady Clementine, wife of Prince Bernard died during childbirth only a month before Emeline herself was due. It was a horrible tragidy and poor Bernard found himself longing for the companionship of his little sister and dear friend to help him through this difficult time, but Emeline just couldnt' do it.Emeline went into labour a couple of weeks early and it was a highly traumatic experience for everyone involved because of Emeline's emotional state. The birth did not progress as it should have, the physicians believing that this was Emeline's fault as she was trying desperately to not have to push as she was so afraid. Jacques did everything he could to calm her but Emeline was hysterical throughout. Eventually the time came where pushing was no longer and option, but Emeline was still too afraid to really commit to the effort, until such time as her body just took over her mind and finally a daughter was born. The moments after the small Princesses birth were horrifying for Jacques as he watched what Emeline's reluctance had created. The poor babe was almost blue when she was born as she'd gone into distress with the birthing process taking so long. On top of that, they physicians said that the effort it was taking Emeline to try and NOT push and result in a heamorrage that could cost the Queen her life.Jacques just stood to the side with dread in his gut as he watched one group frantically work on his newborn daughter, and another try to save the life of his Queen. He tried to push down the feelings of resentment he felt toward Emeline for causing this mess knowing none of this was really her fault, but they were there regardless. Finally the most amazing noise rose up, his daughter started crying, and her wails brought on his own. It was hours later that the physicians informed him that they had saved the Queen's life, but that she had done a lot of damage in this process and they weren't sure what lasting effects that would have on her ability to bear children. Jacques didn't care, he had three strong sons and a beautiful daughter, he didn't need more children, though he suspected the royal advisers would see things differently. After she recovered, everyone hoped that the Queen would come back to herself, but instead she slipped further into her depression. She was so angry with everyone for putting her through that before she was ready, but she was also so full of self-loathing for almost killing her daughter because she was afraid. She no longer trusted herself with her children, or her decisions. The only thing she did make clear was that her daughters name was to be Liliane, but beyond that she did not care. The future is very unclear which is making Jacques and Emeline's brothers very nervous, and this is not helped by the letter Jacques has just received from his brother, Crown Prince Jean-René, warning Jacques that their father is up to something...___________________________________________________________________
