I love Margot. Margo looks a bit too masculine, and Margaux is just uneccesary to me in English-speaking countries.

I like Margaux, because it looks so French. Margo looks like Mango to me and Margot looks like Maggot, as others have said.

I like how it sounds but the only spelling I like it Margo. Margaux just seems so complicated and Margot looks like maggot.

Margot makes me think of Maggot.Margo looks incomplete. So Margaux it is!

It's okay. I wouldn't use it, personally, but it's a nice alternative to Margaret. I like Margot best, then Margaux. I don't care for Margo.

I really like this for a middle name. Margaux and Margot are my preferred spellings because I think Mrgo looks incomplete.

I love this name! I'd use it on its own without hesitation, but if I decided to use Margaret instead, she'd almost certainly be Margo to me. For a long time, I was a "Margot or nothing" sort of girl, but I've come around and, while I still love Margot, Margo is now my favorite spelling. It eliminates the visual similarity to "maggot" that plagues Margot, and I'm confident not even the biggest idiot would mispronounce Margo as "Mar + got."Margaux is the one spelling I hate...and I hate it with a passion. It strips Margot/Margo of all of its elegance, intelligence, and charm and puts it in the Brandy and Chardonnay class of names.

I really dislike it. I always see maggot with Margot and Margaux looks pretentious. Margo seems like a margarine brand but it's the best of the 3. They all sound kind of dated and obnoxious, like a bratty teenager from the 80s, and very nickname like. I would prefer Margaret (or even better, Marguerite) by miles. Sorry for being so negative :(

I love this name. I like all three spellings, but my favorite is probably Margo. Sometimes that spelling seems plain to me, but it's the most straightforward, and it's not a popular name to begin with, so I don't think it's too boring. Here in the States in an area where most people are unfamiliar with French pronunciations, I'd be worried that Margot would be pronounced MAR-got or MAR-git, which I find unappealing, and I'm sure that Margaux would be butchered at least on occasion, too.

I love it! Margot is my favorite, followed almost equally by Margo and Margaux.

I really like it. It's a shame it sounds so ugly in Swedish...My favourite spelling is Margot, then Margaux (nobody would spell it right on the first try), and then Margo (looks like cargo).

Margot is my second favourite name! I plan on using it when I'm older. I lovelovelovelove the name Margot (this spelling). It is the only spelling I really like, mostly because it reminds me of royalty. I live in a French part of Canada, and though Margot may not be popular in the US, it is pretty popular right now in French-speaking pockets of Canada!1. Margot
2. MargauxI would never use Margo. It looks incomplete to me. I've also seen Margault and Margauld, among others.

I like Margot and Margaux on their own, and go back and forth on which I prefer. Right now I'm feeling Margaux. It has a neat tweedy vintage feel.Margo I love as a nn. It's in the running for Margaret nns I'd use for my hopeful future Margaret.

I love it. I think it's gorgeous, retro and kind of non-fussy, but still unique. I personally love Margot and Margo - I can't really decide. Margaux is ok, but I'm not French so I wouldn't use it.

I don't like any of them (I also don't like Margaret), but I think Margaux is by far the best spelling.

Shorter and more convenient than Marguerite.I don't mind it at all, but I wouldn't use it myself ... or not outside France anyway. As for the spelling, the only one I can take seriously is Margot. I've been told that people started dropping the -t because other people started pronouncing it; which suggests a depressing view of humanity. As for Margaux, and her siblings Chardonnay, Sherry and Plonk, I can't take it seriously for the life of me, though it does give me some pleasure to imagine what the spelling-pronunciation brigade must make of it.

had to smile at that little "spelling-pronunciation brigade" remark :)

Margot is best, Margo second best.
Margaux reminds me of faux pas, and looks glammed up to me.

I prefer Margot. Another similar name I like, though I think her parents invented it, it Marigot (pronounced MEHR-ih-go).
