Just found out about a new baby born to some Americans in Japan (have met the mum and know the dad's parents a bit)... Airi (I-ree) Emerald... wdyt? (note: the husband spent part of his growing up years in Japan and thus has the culture as part of him even though he's not ethnically Jpns.)
I was pleased to see a western name that's nice and sensible and tasteful, but at the same time not overused.
