Five years later, a "bonus baby" came on the way for Jakob and Lia! They weren't expecting it to happen when the pregnancy test scored a positive, but they were quite excited about it (especially Nadine, who thinks Lennon is rude and wants her own little brother). And were they happy when the baby was born! Connor Sirius Timothy was named in the usual way - Connor as the compromise name, Sirius as Jakob's choice (he had been staring at the Black family genealogy), and Timothy being Lia's choice.
But, almost ironically, birth was juxtaposed with death. The very next day after Connor's birth, news reached the couple that Casey Wallace, pianist and friend of Jakob's, had died of a motorcycling accident. It was quite a blow for Jakob, since Casey had been the one who motivated him to keep singing back in their youth. At last, after a discussion, Jakob and Lia decided to change Connor's first name into Konnor, and his middle name from Sirius to Camden, thus giving their child the initials (and nickname) "KC", which is homophones with Casey.
The Foster family had by then quite the balance to maintain. Between Jakob's musical career, Lia's on-again-off-again acting responsibilities, and their five children, they have an interesting daily life. This possibility was jumped upon by a television channel, who contracted them for a reality show about their daily life called "Keeping With The Fosters". While initially hesitant, the family agreed on the offer, mostly because the children were somewhere between not minding and a bit excited about the idea.
It was during one of the show's episodes that the family sat down to make an announcement: Lennon was going to make his first album, and around the same time Lia will be on a hiatus until "a miracle happens". The announcement was received with mixed responses, but the family was resolute.
Winnie had gone on with her fledgeling career as a child actress. Although she only rarely acted, the usually took the role of the smart but wisecracking child, once even acting in a family comedy flick alongside her mother.
Lennon had not only started singing, but also playing the guitar and drums. "Uncle Casey's" recent departure had motivated him to try the piano too, but Lia advised him to take things one step at a time.
Vienna, unlike her siblings, is mostly uninterested in showbiz. She resigned herself to her various studies, pestering her teacher/mum (the Foster children were homeschooled) with various questions.
Nadine is still living in her own happy little bubble, climbing trees in their family estate and playing with KC as much as she could.
