Tavish is really nms. I prefer Tavis, but it's also nms.

McTavish is a great surname -- fun to say out loud. But for a first name, I'd prefer Tavis. Tavis would make a great first name. I believe it's the Scottish form of Thomas.The only drawback is the pronunciation. It *looks* like it would rhyme with Davis, with a long "a" sound. But of course it has a short "a" sound, like McTavish.

I've always liked this one. It's kind of a guilty pleasure name because I doubt I would ever use it but I think it's so cool.

I've only heard it on real people once or twice. I really like it though. It's got the feel of Hamish, without the trendy factor. I'm not hugely into nicknames, but I do think "Tav" sounds sweet if used informally :-)_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Well I'm not Elinor or Poppylena but I love it! It's the Scottish form of Thomas and I think it's so cool! :)

Somewhere in the back of my mind I've heard of Tavish McTavish.
I don't know if he was a real person or a story but I think it's a great name. A strong name I think!All the best Kayfiona x
