[Opinions] Re: Adalheidis

I was just thinking about Adalheidis in a thread below. It's "a-dul-HIDE-is." I love it. It's the origin of Adelheid (and thus Heidi), Adelaide, Adela, Adele, Adeline, as well as Alice and variants therefrom. No one believes me when I tell them that Adele and Alice are variants until I tell them about Adalheidis.
I can also see the nn Dolly being used for Adalheidis, as well as Addie. It's an amazingly versatile name.
Adalheidis makes me think of Dark Ages Europe during Charlemagne. It's got sturdy, Germanic flair and it just drips with history. So it makes my brain very, very happy. It wouldn't be the easiest fn to live with, but used as a GP mn it could work wonders.
