[Opinions] Dora

It's really hard to separate from Dora the Explorer since that's the first context many people have for the name.
I have liked Dora since I was little and it was the name of the street my grandparents lived on.
I think it is old fashioned and sweet. I said the same thing about Lucy but it is cute without being cutesy. I can picture a young Dora or an old Dora. I like it as a nickname or on it's own.
I do think of Dora the Explorer but it is not the first image that pops into my mind.

I love Dora! It can definitely fare well on its own, and I don't think it's inextricably tied to the explorer.
I could see Dora making a bit of a comeback. It fits with some of the other short oldish-feeling names, in my opinion. Like Nora, Ella, Ava, Alice. It's cute, I don't mind it a bit. Yes, I think of Dora the Explorer, but that's not the worst association. And Ruby seems to be on the rise despite Max and Ruby.
I like it. It does make me think of Dora the Explorer, but I don't think that's too big of a deal. I'd love to see more little Doras running around.
