WDYT of Remy? Whether you like it or not, do you prefer it spelt Remi or Remy? Why? I've known one young man and one young child named Remy, and they both spelt it with the "y". However, I've been researching popularity stats for my province, and Remi with an "i" seems to be the more common spelling. In 2010, 90 boys were named Remi (86th most popular masculine name), and 21 boys were named Remy (270th most popular masculine name). This seems to have been the trend for the past few years.
I think I prefer Remy, but I can't decide. I'm just curious about what everyone thinks. :) Also, if you're feeling up to it, any MN ideas?

I prefer Remy. And I love it. It is slightly shorter than I like but I still love it. I also like Remus. Even though I prefer the sound of Remy, I love the star connection and the mythology connection to Remus.

Fair enough. :) I think I like it spelled as Remy too. It's the version I most often see.

I love the name Remy and prefer it without the accent. I also only like the Remy spelling, as I think it looks nicer. Some combo suggestions are:

Yes, he did! In the film "The Big Easy", he was Detective Lieutenant Remy McSwain. Yeah, here it would be usable only on a boy. Everyone would think I'm crazy if I used it on a girl. According to the stats though, one family was brave enough to use Remi on a girl last year. So, maybe they're the beginning of a new era!

Gosh, I really, really love Remy/Rémy (prn. re-mee, not ray-mee, which I think is awful). It's been on my mind a lot lately. Remington nn Remy is a GP of mine but I think I prefer Remy on it's own. I don't like Remi. It just doesn't look right to me. By the way, I'm so happy to see Remy mentioned here.
