UN: AnnaMarie
DH: Lord Dieudonne Jean Philippe Delacroix (26)
DW: Lady Liliane Élisabeth Rose Delacroix (22)
Rank: The Nobility (sister of Belle)
Story: Cinderella****I'm doing this from a slightly different POV where in Liliane is actually one of the step-sisters to Viatrix's Belle as Cinderella - hope that's ok!****Liliane was born into wealth and priviledge. Her father, Gaspard, was a highly respected nobleman, and her mother's lineage was second only to that of the royal family themselves. From a very young age, Liliane's mother Genevieve groomed her to be suitable bride one day for the heir to the throne, Prince Adam, and it was a position that Liliane happily aspired to. Their lives changed however when one horrible day Liliane's dear Papa was murdered on the road by highway men, leaving Genevieve a widow. Now, Gaspard was a wealthy man so upon his death there wasn't really much difference to the lifestyle Liliane lead, but her mother didn't make a very good widow and quickly remarried. Liliane was devastated that her mother could rip her away from the home she grew up in and betray the memory of her beloved Papa and became a very angry young woman who's dreams of one day escaping to the palace as Prince Adam's bride became her utmost priority so she would finally escape from her mother, who she had come to loathe...Liliane's new step-father came with a price however, not only did she have to give up her home and abandon the place where she could hold her fathers memory close, she also ended up with a step-sister the same age as herself, Belle. Liliane hated Belle from their first meeting as girls no older than 13, for no other reason than jealousy. Liliane had always been the prettiest, the most charming, the best seamstress, the most talented singer, she was the girl other girls were envious of but had had to work at these traits... but Belle was prettier, kinder, sweeter, more lovely than Liliane could ever be, and Liliane despised her for it and for the fact that Belle was the apple of her fathers eye, just as Liliane had been before her Papa died. Liliane was terrible to her new sister, which she felt guilty for at light while she lay in her bed, but it still didn't quell the rage within her or make her stop.Things just got worse however as in a strange cause of deja vu, only months after the marriage, Liliane's step-father was killed in the same manner as Gaspard had been. It was around that same time that a rumour spread that Prince Adam had fallen victim to a horrible enchantment and no one knew where he was, or truly what had happened. Liliane was inconsolable as she'd always viewed Prince Adam as her escape route, and now that was gone. She was truly miserable, and took that out on Belle and was truly truly vile. In fact, Liliane was such a horrible bully she turned the darling kind and sweet Belle into somewhat of a slave, and it was actually she who sent Belle on the mission to pick a particular type of rose that lead Belle into Adam's arms, eventually breaking the horrible enchantment.Liliane wasn't concerned (and neither was Genevieve) when Belle never returned from the task she was given assuming that Belle had run away and they really were rather pleased to be rid of her... so imagine Lilane's surprise when they were invited to a grand ball at the palace which actually turned out to be a wedding, the wedding of the recently revived Prince Adam and BELLE! Liliane wept and wept for the loss of the life she'd dreamed of at the hands of the girl she'd tormented for no other reason than her own jealousy and misery. It was a life changing moment for Liliane as she was forced to really reflect on her life, and she didn't like what she saw. Genevieve however came looking for her plotting and scheming on how they could get rid of Belle and take Adam, and Liliane released finally that all this time it was GENEVIEVE who was the poison in her life and promptly encouraged her mother to jump off the nearest turrent whilst she went to find Belle and beg for forgivness. Prince Adam's closest friend and confident, Lord Dieudonne, overheard Liliane's heartfelt explanation and apology to Belle and was enthralled at the emotion with which Liliane spoke. He sought her out after that and drew from Liliane the whole sordid story, and loved her for the woman she'd become despite her mother's poison. They recently married and Liliane eagerly awaits her life without her mother in it... and long may that be the case!
