Ginger seems very 1950's to me or too much of a nickname. It is a very happy carefree name who doesn't take things too seriously. But on the flip side, it doesn't seem very capable and is kind of ditsy. I don't know how confidant I would be with a doctor or pilot whose given name is Ginger.
