The only one I've ever known was a Faye, middle-aged and given to wearing sensible shoes and organising everyone else's lives for them, willy-nilly.

I don't like it. I hate the sound. Fae is my favorite spelling, because it makes it seem a bit prettier.
I like it. One syllable names appeal to me because they sound so brisk and strong. Faye has that but manages to be soft at the same time. It's a nice mix.
