[Opinions] Noreen
Replies
I find it likable. It's not a fave, but I do find it likable... Have never thought of it as a nn for anything. Noreen stands on its own... and feels a lot younger than Nora. Nora makes me think of my great aunt who would likely be in her 90s or older now if she were still living. (not sure if she was older or younger than Grandad). I know some people have started using Nora again (incl. a couple old college mates w/ their daughters), but it still feels like an old lady name to me. Noreen feels much younger.

I picked it for one of my characters because I wanted a really silly name. of course, now I think it's adorable. I definitely like it better on its own, which goes against my usual preference for diminutives/elaborations.
