[Opinions] Re: Celtic names?
in reply to a message by Cherish
This is my favorite category since I'm Irish(-American). I don't know if your'e looking for pure, pre-Christian Celtic names. But there are some of my favorite Irish names, some Anglicized; take them with a grain of salt:
Mairead, Sinead, Siobhan, Eimear / Emer, Niamh, Aoife, Fionnuala, Oonagh, Mor, Blaithin, Gormlaith, Isibeal, Isolde, Maureen, Cathleen, Eileen / Eibhlin, Gobnait, Padraigin, Muirgheal / Muriel, Liadan, Aifric, Maeve, Nollaig;
Finbarr, Cormac, Malachy, Desmond, Mathuin, Fergal, Ronan, Mael, Columba, Padraig, Cavan, Diarmuid / Dermot, Liam, Cairbre / Carbery, Proinsias, Peadar, Finn, Fingal, Eamonn, Niall, Tyrone, Conor, Turlough, Eoghan, Ardal, Cathal, Tadhg, Ulick / Uilleag, Seamus.
I have Scottish, Welsh and other Celtic / Gaelic names that I love but I'll keep it just to Irish ones for now. :-)
