I named a Barbie doll Spring when I was little. I also had a Summer, a June, a May, and an Augusta.
I never understood the appeal of Winter as a name. Winter is harsh, and cold, and nasty. Shoveling! Black ice! Frostbite!

Oh but Winter can also be beautiful! I love the snow! I have a holly tree in my front yard that's absolutely gorgeous when draped with white snow. Ice cycles are pretty too. Winter also harkens Christmas, snowmen, sledding and cozy fires
Well, that is true... those are all fun, happy things. I don't hate everything about winter. I have lots of memories of playing in the snow with my younger sister that make me smile. I just hate driving in it. The first time I did that, I got stuck and my dad had to come and dig me out. I've also had my car get iced to the ground, literally. That was when my husband (then boyfriend) was still at university, and the whole campus was a giant sheet of ice. I was stuck there for a few days. :)
