Cassidy of its day. Of course this is just an impression the name gave off back then. I knew many who were not cheerleaders or "trendy / flighty / superficial." I wouldn't assume this. It's just the feeling it gave off back then.
I try very hard not to let stereotypes or one bad associaiton take over a name. It's not fair on the poor name, afterall.
