Nikola has gotten a new job in Paris. Which come at just the right moment since they need to move anyway to a bigger place. Petra is a little sad about leaving not only their first home, but the city that they've settled into. Nikola doesn't have these feelings. He thinks Petra is a little overly sentimental, not that he would ever tell her so.
