[Opinions] Umayma & Persevere
I've grown fond of Umayma recently. It is an Arabic girls name that means either "little mother" or "high mother", I'm not sure. It's pronounced oo-MAY-mah.What do you think of the name?
What combos would you make with it?&What are your thoughts on Persevere being used as a name? I think it would make for an interesting Puritan-esque middle name. It's sorta' like a combination of Persephone or Percival and Guinevere. Plus, the nickname Percy could always be used. Thanks!

Umayma makes me think of Umami, as in the "5th taste" after salty, sweet, sour and bitter.Persevere is too puritan for me, and doesn't really sound like a nem. I would choose Percival or Guinevere over it anytime.

Umayma is pretty! love that long-O beginning.I love the idea of Persevere. (I also love Perseverance) So delightfully, quirkily Puritan! Is this for a boy or girl? Two things come to mind for Persevere or Perseverance as a name - one, that my friend can NOT say "persevere" to save her life - it always comes out "preserve", so I've connected jam and perseverance in my mind forevermore. Second, that scene from The Tudors where Anne Bolyn was dressed up as the personification of Perseverance when she first catches King Henry's eye. So Persevere/Perseverance = jam and Anne. Awesome right?

Thanks! I'm not really sure if Persevere would be a boys name or a girls name. My first thought is for a girl. But why not both?
