Oona - Same as you, OH-nuh. I've only met one girl with this name, and that's how she pronounced it. Most people, it seems, say OO-nuh, like Una.Iona - Again, same as you. eye-OH-nuh. Ione - I seem to be alone in this one, as I say eye-OH-neh. Almost the same as Iona.

I pronounce Oona just the way it's spelled (OO-na, basically a homonym for Una), but I pronounce Iona and Ione the way you do. I like Oona and Ione, but Iona reminds me of the old Iona Mercedes joke, so I get hung up on how much it really does sound like "I own a..." I don't have any combos, but I think I prefer them as middle names.

I really like Iona!
For me it's rather a girls name and I pronounce it pretty much like "Jonah", but not with a "j" in the beginning but a spoken "e". [e-OH-na]Ione is nice, too but definitely not as pretty as Iona since it reminds me of the Ionian Sea and iron for some reason.... and names with an -e in the end are rather middle names than first names for me. I pronounce it the way I pronounce Iona, but without an a/e-sound in the end. [e-OWN]Oona isn't that bad, but quite odd due to the repeating "o" in the beginning. I'd pronounce it like [UW-na] or [OO-na], not exactly sure about the correct expression.

Oona - OO-nah
Iona - eye-OH-nah
Ione - EYE-oh-neeIone is my top favourite name! I like the previous suggestion of Ione Laurentia, I feel like the middle name should end in -a/-ia. I plan to use Ione if I ever have kids.

Oona - OO-nuh ('oo' as in "boot")
Iona - eye-OH-nuh
Ione - eye-OH-nee or EYE-oh-neeI like Oona, and Ione is ok when the first syllable is stressed - otherwise Iona and Ione just sound to me like "I own a"

The same as you, except Oona like oooh-nuh. I think the double o definitely implies "ooooo." LOL.
