My Grandpa's name is Don (Donald) and his brother was John. I always thought it was stupid that their names rhymed! Also one of my grandpa's good friends is called Ron!
I like John best - it is the most classic of those and would never sound dated. I also like Don, because of my Grandpa but Don and Ron both sound old fashioned to me.

Ron!
All are solid names, but I prefer Ron and John.
Ron is my favorite. Ronald has a good meaning, "Ruler with Wise Council." It is familiar but not so common as John. Unlike most one-syllable male names, I actually rather like "Ron."
John comes in second. I love the meaning and history of John. Its popularity would prevent me from using it, but I like it.
Don and Sean are nice, but I probably wouldn't choose them myself.

My favorite is Sean. Ron is my second favorite. John is my third. Don is my least favorite.
This ording is based on the sound of the names. Ronald with the nn Ron would be my favorite of these if it weren't for Ronald McDonald. John is just far too common, especially in my family. Don just feels to me like the name of some jocky guy who is rude and crude. I know of no negatives for Sean except that it is a bit too common for my tastes, but I like the sound of the name.
I for some reason dislike Don but really like Dom. Dom being the nn for Dominic.

To my foreign ears, Sean is the odd name out, sound-wise. Of the others, I like John and have fond memories of one really good Don, years ago. Ron? Not so much. And Sean is just flat.
Hmm... can I change the spelling. If so, Shawn by far.
John - too popular
Ron - a coworker who I find lazy and hates his job and only complains about it
Don - an ex-coworker I also disliked due to similar reasons, and Donald Duck
So if I can't change the spelling, I'll go with John. Although I've met plenty of John's I don't like, the popular doesn't make it sting as much.

Sean is my favorite, followed by John, then Ron, then Don.
I like Ronny and Donnie better than Ron and Don.
I have really bad associations with John which ruins for me. Since Sean is the Irish version of John, it's also ruined. I had a really mean grandfather named Donald, so Don's out the window too.
Ron is all that's left, so it's my favorite by default. It's okay as long as it's a nickname. As a diehard Harry Potter fan, I'll always have a soft spot for it.
I hate it when names I love rhyme. Using one means the others are lost to you forever!

Ron Weasley
That is a good reason to love Ron. I too must say I would get sleazy for weasley!!! Haha I could never find that shirt ^

John. He's super handsome.
Ron and Don are nicknames (and for names I don't love).
Sean is okay.

I think I like Sean best. I don't mind John as a middle name, as it would honour my grandfather. Don and Ron are right out as far as I'm concerned. :)
Sean - its the only one that i see as a full name rather than a nickname
John wins slightly over Sean. I love them both. I really dislike Don and Ron, though. And also, Sean doesn't rhyme with John, Ron, or Don to me. :P
What do you mean Sean doesn't rhyme w/ John? How are you pronouncing it? Sean is pronounced like Shawn or Shaun... to most people in N. America anyway.
John is my favorite. It is the strongest.
I like all of them, especially Don - I think Donald needs a revival.
