[Opinions] Martha
My friend's name is Martha. Is it too dated, or is it still popular???

I like the name and it's not popular at all here in Australia. I don't actually think I've ever met a Martha either.
It's not popular, but I don't consider it dated. I think it's beautiful and spunky and definitely due for some popularity. :)
I like it increasingly, and find it fresh in a subtle way. It was also the name of one of my great-grandmothers.
It's not popular. I'd say it's still slightly dated, but not so much that I wouldn't use it. I think it's sweet.
I love this name. I would use it, too, because there aren't any little Marthas around here. The only one I know is in her late 60s. I love the nn Marti :)
My moms name
This is my moms name, she's 64 and doesnt really care for it.

I love Martha! It's so sturdy, calm, and pretty in a sensible way.
I know Martha is hot in the UK, but in the US (where I am) it's fairly unpopular and possibly too closely tied to Martha Stewart. With names like Olive and Jasper on the rise, though, I think Martha will make a modest comeback here without ever becoming too popular.

I don't know many (or ANY) young Marthas. I never warmed to the name, myself. It sounds so gray and dowdy.
