Congratulations!
Rupert Daniel and James Henry Hugh are siblings from Liverpool, England. Rupert is 7 years old and James is 5. Rupert speaks English and a little French; James speaks only English. Both boys are developmentally normal. Rupert has red hair and green eyes. James has brown hair and the same green eyes. Rupert is outgoing and friendly and does well in school. He likes history and geography and does especially well in those subjects. Getting him to study math is a chore! He is an athletic child and plays soccer very well for his age. He would like to continue this when he is settled into his new home. James is quieter than Rupert, but still makes friends easily. He loves to play games and pranks on people. He loves telling jokes and says he wants to be in the movies when he grows up. He likes animals a lot, especially reptiles.
Mariya "Masha" is 4 years old and comes from Perm, Russia. She has blonde hair and grey eyes. She is slightly behind developmentally due to the conditions of the orphanage in which she has been living since she was born, but she may catch up in a few years. Her favorite color is light blue, and she loves drawing pictures. Her favorite place is the beach, she says, although she has never been. She has a pet cat from the orphanage, named Grisha, that she is happy to keep with her. She cannot read or write, but she does know a few English words and phrases. Since she is so young, she will learn quickly. She has seen a few Disney movies from the U.S., and she says that she wants to be a princess when she grows up.

The children have been with us for over a year now and are very settled. It took Mariya a while to settle in, as the language barrier made it difficult for her to interact with the other children, though her and Ethan have played together a lot recently. Mariya's English has very much improved and there is now little she doesn't understand. Her achievements at school this year have also been brilliant.
Rupert, James and Ethan all joined a football club this year, and Rupert is fantastic. They are all thoroughly enjoying it and love spending Saturdays and some evenings with Gabriel. Ethan and James like playing cars in the playroom, as we bought them a new car mat and loads of cars! Rupert has a new teacher and is slowly beginning to enjoy Maths, so we are hoping he can do well in this subject as well.
