[Opinions] Rowan and Louisa?
What do you think of these two names?I've been liking Rowan for a boy lately, whereas previously I'd never really considered it at all. What are your thoughts on it? I'm especially liking Rowan Arthur at the moment.I've really been liking Louisa lately as well. What do you think? And do you have any nickname preferences? I have my own inclination, but I don't what to divulge it quite yet. I'm curious as to what other people will say. I think that my preferred combination at the moment would probably be Louisa Jane, Louisa Phoebe, Louisa Beatrix, or Louisa Tamsin. Also, combo ideas for either?

I love Rowan. I'm not usually a fan of Arthur, but it sounds great with Rowan. Arthur makes the combo sound very solid and masculine.Louisa is a name that I want to like more, but I think of the word "wheeze."As far as nicknames go, I'd use Isa (EE-za) as a nickname. I prefer it to Lou, which I'm not all that fond of.Out of your Louisa combos, I like Louisa Jane and Louisa Tamsin the best. I like Beatrix and Phoebe, but they don't flow as smoothly with Louisa.Combo ideas:Rowan Alistair/Alastair/Alasdair
Rowan Marcus
Rowan Elliott/Elliot
Rowan Matthias
Rowan Henry
Rowan Tobias
Rowan Thaddeus
Rowan Jude
Rowan Asher
Rowan Jasper
Rowan Paul
Rowan Gabriel
Rowan Grant
Rowan Graham
Rowan Charles
Rowan Samuel
Rowan Victor
Rowan Geoffrey/Jeffrey

Rowan Arthur is so handsome! Wow, really great combo! I wouldn't choose Rowan myself necessarily, but that it a dashing combo you've got going on. :)Louisa is not my style, but not bad either. For me, the nickname Louie is a must-have! I love masculine nicknames for girls names.

I sort of like Rowan, but it's not my usual style. I prefer Owen for a boy, which sounds similar. I sort of like Rowan for a girl, in the same way I sort of like Morgan and Tatum on girls, but since I really love girly-girl names, I personally prefer to see girly-girl (but not over-the-top syrupy sweet) names. For example, I just love Rowena for a girl. Louisa I really like. I feel it is both charming and substantial. I can see Louisa really catching on and hear it often on the internet, but have yet to meet a real-life baby Louisa. Like Sophia and Olivia, I don't think I will mind seeing Louisa get popular, since it is so pretty, but I am crossing my fingers and hope it stays under the radar for a few more years. I have my doubts though. As for nicknames, the most common one I have heard is Lulu - which is just too cutesy for my tastes. In fact, I thought I hated Louisa for a long time, but then realized I really hated Lulu. The same thing is true with Susan and Susanna. I thought those names were boring, until I realized that in reality Sue was what I found boring, and Susan and Susanna are quite lovely, and even Susie, which I used too find too cutesy, I feel has a certain charm in line with Millie, Maggie, Tilly, etc. I find Susie a lot less cutely than Lulu - which still reminds me of a cartoon character.

I myself am not a big fan of Rowan - though I do prefer it on a boy. I know a little Rowan, he's 1 and gorgeous. He's Rowan Mark (Mark after his father). I do like Rowan Arthur as a comboLouisa Jane is a combo I love too :) It reminds me of victorian elegance for some reason. I love it. It's my favourite Louisa combo even though Phoebe is my favourite name ever

I like Rowan for a boy but I love it for a girl. Rowan Arthur is very handsome! Louisa bores me. I used to live in Germany and it was really common there. Also Luisa is common in many Spanish speaking countries and I have met many as well. The combos are all nice, I just don't like Beatrix. Louisa Beatrice would be better. I kind of like Louisa May, but I guess it's too Little Women :P

I love Rowan for a boy. Also Rohan, which is similar but a bit more unusual. Arthur is also brilliant, although I'm not sure whether Rowan Arthur sounds perfect.Louis is nice too. I'd love to see it as a first name. Louise is really common as a middle name but Louisa is much prettier. Louisa Phoebe is nice.
