Ruler: Adair Edward Alain Dimitri: His Majesty, King Adair of Highcourt(20)
Consort: Reya Luisella Amalie Marali: Her Majesty, Queen Reya of Highcourt and Quema(18)
Of the Royal House of Torrin, of the Kingdom of Highcourt.
Prince Adair, as he used to be called, had never wanted to be King, nor ever expected to be one. He was, however, called upon to rule after a plague struck the royal city of Varrion, killing not only his ruling mother, Queen Isalina, and her consort, Vasil, but his older brother, Richard, and older sister Sarova, who were first and second in line for the throne. At the time, Adair was visiting as an ambassador in the nearby country of Quema. To his surprise, he was called back to Highcourt to rule. Adair found this odd, as he was not the child of Isalina and Vasil, however, but rather the son of the Queen and one of her lovers. He had plenty of cousins waiting to rule too. But the Royal Advisers knew that though he was illegitimate, prince Adair was still popular and well known, unlike the many cousins.
Soon after his coronation, Adair married a girl he had met in Quema. Quema was not a kingdom as Highcourt, but rather a small conglomerate of cities and the country side surrounding them. The ruler in Quema was the Grand Duke. Adair's bride, Reya, was the granddaughter of the current Grand Duke. He had met her while traveling and had fallen in love. He had wanted to take her as his bride before becoming King, but his mother had been reluctant, as had the Grand Duke. Now that he was king, there were no more objections and the pair married happily.
In the place at Varrion, lives Princess Sarova and Price Richard's spouses, as well as their young children. Adair's younger sister Galina also lives with him. Several of his cousins are also present.
