[Opinions] Nina
What do you all think of the name? My son has been dancing around the house singing about a 'Baby Nina'. I have no idea where he picked up the name, it wasn't from me.Anyway, the more he has been saying it the more I have been liking it. Does it work as a full name? Is it too Nicknamey? Also, my last name begins with an "N", is that over kill? Nina N______ ?We also have a thing about using family names as MNs... Do you like any of these...Nina Juliette
Nina Josephine
Nina Johanna
Nina Charlotte
Nina Elizabeth
Nina Margaret
Nina Marilyn
Nina Ann

It's a decent name. I don't like it enough to use it myself, but I can see why it appeals to people - it's easy to spell, isn't overly popular, and for the most part, it sounds friendly. The downside is that it reminds me of the childish taunt "neener neener." I think it works as a full name. I pretty much only encounter it as a full name.Alliteration doesn't necessarily bother me, so it might work with your last name assuming that there aren't too many other repetitive sounds.Out of your combos, I like Nina Juliette the best. I like Elizabeth, but Juliette has more flavor.

I've always enjoyed Nina, and really I don't think it's nicknamey at all. All the Ninas I've known have been just that - Nina. It's got a light, dancing quality about it that I really like. Sunlight on moving water.I think Nina Margaret is wonderful and by far the nicest on your list. Elizabeth works well ... or you could go for retro playfulness and have Nina Lizann! Two for the price of one ...

I really love Nina, and although it totally works as a stand alone name, I've always been preferred it as a nickname. But that's probably just because I love Giannina and Antonina so much as names! Nina Juliette
Nina Josephine
Nina Elizabeth
Nina Marilyn Are all really beautiful!

Nina is fantastic! I don't find it nicknamey at all. I also really like all of your combos, except for Nina Ann N.... to "n" heavy.

It's adorable! I don't think Nina is nicknamey at all. I think it's a lovely name. It goes on and off my PNL; right now it's on. It's short and simple, but it's not boring at all, and not too common. Nina Juliette immediately jumped off the list. It's gorgeous. It's ageless and classic and still unusual. Really, really lovely. I also like Nina Charlotte and Nina Margaret, but Nina Juliette is unparalleled.

I think Nina is lovely, and doesn't need a fuller version. It can stand on its own just fine.I like Nina Josephine and Nina Elizabeth.

I love Nina. It also doesn't have any more N sounds than Lennon does, so it shouldn't be a problem with your last name. From what you listed, Nina Juliette and Nina Margaret are my favorites.

I love Nina. It's such a sweet, happy name. At one point I would've said it's too much N with your surname, but I actually think it would be fine. It would be memorable.I think pretty much all of those are good combos, but I especially love Nina Juliette, Nina Johanna, and Nina Margaret.

I think Nina is cute and a nice name, and not really too nicknamey.BUT if your surname starts with N, it will probably be too many N sounds. Of course it depends on things like how long the surname is and how many N sounds are in there, but I don't think it'll work with most N names.
