Zuzu. Always been curious about this name since watching "It's A Wonderful Life" What do you think about the name? Do you know of any "full" names for it? Also does anyone know the etymology of the name?Thanks

I think Zuzu could work as a nickname for Susanna. It would definitely work for Zuzanna. In fact, I like it as a nickname for Susan and any of her relatives: Suzanne, Susana, Zsuzsanna, et al. Ooh! Zuleika is another option.

Szuszi?Suzannah?it's supposedly a diminutive of the Susan in Czech. it means lily, I think.

Aw. Love "It's a Wonderful Life" and love Zuzu! In the movie, it's short for Susan (I think). It definitely needs a more formal name (Suzette / Zuzanna (etc.), Zulema, Ursula, Melusine, Drusilla, Zudora, Zuleika?) but as a nn it's darling. :-)

Well, I know several men nick-named Zuzu.It's the Mid-East nick-name for Joseph, or Yousf. I think it's ridiculous on a grown man, but they don't think so.

My boyfriend is middle eastern and his old nickname use to be Zou Zou (pronounced same way as Zu Zu I believe) but his real name is Zoulfikar. I guess it can be for a few names.

Ahhhh christmas time :) I think it's cute but it definitely needs a full name. Probably it evolved as a nickname for Susan? I'm not sure. Susan would definitely work as a full name and so would Suzanne.
