Hmmm... I ALMOST like it.

Amethyst is currently my favorite name, and if I ever manage to have a daughter, her name will be Amethyst Poinsettia (not sure why Poinsettia, but I love the picture it paints).

I like it, but I think it's better suited as a middle name. If used as a first name, she could always go by Ammie or Amy, though.

I like it but I worry about it's usability in the real world, so it's on my GP list. I think using a nickname, like Amy, makes it more approachable. It was a name I suggested for my dog because her birthday is February 1.

It is pretty, but I think the pronunciation is a bit tricky. I'd keep it in the middle name spot, personally.

I LOVE this name and uses it as a mn in my top combo for girls. :)
