[Opinions] Claire
I know we talk about this name a lot, but what is your overall opinion of Claire?
My brother told me they were 99.9% sure this will be the name of the new baby.

I'd give it a 6/10. I like it slightly more than neutral feelings.
I adore it! So pretty and light. My four year old daughter's good friend is named Claire and she is the sweetest little girl so I have a great image of the name.
Eh, it's okay. I think it's kinda overused. However I would much rather hear of a little girl named Claire than I would Jayden or Hadley or Isabella or something too overused like that.
If I had no other choice but to give my future daughter this name, and even though I'm not partial to variant spellings, I would prefer to spell it Clair after the song Clair de Lune, which is my favorite piece of classical music.

Love!
Claire is timeless and elegant. It's my favorite one-syllable girl name. It is so beautiful without being overly frilly. :D

boring, but acceptable
I adore Claire. It's simple, feminine, timeless, and not so common that it's boring. I think it's a fabulous name that will suit a girl of any age.
Claire, sister to Sally Jean? Really, really good. It's been interesting to hear about their evolution via Sofie and Erin.
I'm partial to Claire, it was the name my Mom went by, short for Clairisse.

Yeah, they've changed their minds so much, it's unbelievable. I really hope they stick with Claire, though. I like Sofie and Erin just fine, but Claire is a classic, and totally underused. I love it.
I love it. It's so clean and sweet, but it has a boldness and strength to it too. We'd use it, and it also would honor my grandfather whose middle name is Clair.
I love Claire. It's sophisticated but still very pretty and sweet, and it suits all ages and personalities.
Really like it! It seems like the name of a ballerina.
I love Claire so much! It's so clear and bright, so strong, smooth, and sophisticated, but it manages to sound friendly too.
If my son had been a girl, Clare (my godmother's spelling) would have been his middle name, and I may still use it if I have a daughter in the future. If it sounded better with my last name, it would be a serious contender for the first name spot.

I like it, but it's become a bit lackluster for me. Clare, on the other hand, I adore. What a difference an "i" makes!
Lol. Your mother sound like a hoot.
I love it. It sounds energetic and sophisticated. The only things that keep me from wanting to use it are that I already have a family member named Clare (I like her, but it would make things confusing), and it's a bit too popular for me. I'd be much more inclined to go with Clara.
In all, I'd say that your brother is making a good choice.

Love, love Claire. It's known, but not overly used. And your brother can have a lot of fun with the mn if he wants to. My niece is named Clare so I have a bias toward that spelling. The "i" in Claire looks a tad fussy to me. But it's definitely the most common and therefore the easiest-to-live-with spelling of the name.
My niece is Clare Siobhan. I have a stock combination Clare Angelica. But I can also see a more understated (yet still elegant) mn for it like Claire Evelyn or Claire Elisabeth. The possibilites are endless with Claire.
