I don't like the sound of Agata, which makes no sense since I do like the admittedly clunkier French Agathe. I don't think Agata is more or less accessible than Agatha, and I do think it's a touch fresher.
Agatha is ugly to me (I think it's the "AG-uh-" part that does it--so harsh!), but it meets my criteria for usability: easy enough to pronounce and spell and not overwhelmingly associated with a negative figure, like a serial killer or dictator. I guess I find it both usable and musty as an old mothball at the same time.
