[Opinions] Aiyana
I found this interesting article that is a very good read (recommended)
http://www.native-languages.org/wrongnames.htm and stumbled across Aiyana. I know it's not a legit Native American name but it seems to have Afrian and Indian roots (Ayana, Ayanna) as described in the article. The Aiyana spelling is the only one that appeals to me (Ayana is ok, though) and I think it's very beautiful. What do you think? Do you know anyone named this? How do you pronounce it? I say eye-YAH-na.

I like it. I pronounce it the way you do. I like Ayana, Aiyana, and Aiana (although Aiana would have less of a YAH sound and more of just an AH).

I love Aiyana :) I know it's said to mean "forever flowering" and even if that's not actually true it's a really nice psuedo-meaning. I say it the same way as you
