[Opinions] Monet
Totally loving this one at the moment. WDYT of Monet for a little girl? What middle name(s) would you pair with it?:)

Oooooh. Monet Jemima. LOVE it. LOVE Monet Lila too but my aunt is Laila, same prn. so thats out. Actually you've got a lot of family names up there. My cousins are Felicity & Charlotte, my Mormor (mum's mum) is Esther. I love Monet Esther as a combo but already plan on using Esther as first DD's mn. And Felicity is actually Felicity Elizabeth, so thats out too, and one of her for sisters is Annabelle Catherine, so Catherine/Katherine is a no go either. If I started naming after cousins I'd be in big trouble...I have 16 of them!Other great combos:
Monet Katherine
Monet Amelie
Monet Audrey
Monet Hannah
Monat Lillian (but too themey! although not as bad as Monet Lily ;)
Monet ZaraI'm going to tweak Monet Ariella a bit...Monet Arielle. Beautiful. Thanks for all the suggestions.

It's OK but I wouldn't use it myself.

Though I appreciate the artist, to me, this is in the same category as Lexus, Diamond, or Chardonnay. It's a conspicuous consumer name. Too tacky.

Agree, and......I have a feeling that most parents who name their daughters Monet don't have a clue who the artist was. That bugs me.

fair enough :)I don't know if I like it enough to use it. It's probably just a passing infatuation helped by a cute little girl named Monet ;) we'll see how long it lasts. Thanks for the opinion.

Cool. It's a bit hipstery but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It reminds me of other famous-surnames-turned-girls-names, like Dante and Bronte.
If I were being cheesy, I'd say Monet Claudette. I'd probably like middle names more like... Pauline, Colleen, Cassandra, Antoinette, Gabriella, Ophelie, Adelaide, Abigail, Beatrice, Beatrix, Bianca, Coraline, Calanthe, Hermione, Colombe, Lisette... basically anything that's elegant and not too common (and not too mature-sounding; I think Monet could pull off the little-girl vibe well but not if it has a middle name like Eleanor). I could also see it working with shorter mns like Alice, Alys / Alyse, Lea, Lianne, Emilie, Surya, Siobhan, Dunya, Charis, or Cecily / Cecile.

Lol, no way to Claudette!Adelaide and Calanthe are on my list, but I don't think I like either of them with Monet. Adelaide in particular is too wordy for me.Monet Hermione is nice, and Alice, Emilie (but my cousin is Emily so thats out), Charis and Cecily. Thanks for the suggestions.
